Is it really private? Does it send my screenshots anywhere?

No, and you can prove it: open your browser's DevTools, go to the Network tab, and snip. Not a single request leaves for our servers, or anyone's. Snipry reads text with a model that runs inside your browser, so the image you snip becomes text on your own machine and is never uploaded. The code we ship is not minified either, so any developer can open it and confirm exactly what it does.

Copyfish and Google Lens are free, why pay for this?

Because "free" cloud OCR isn't free, you pay with your screenshots. Those tools upload every image you snip to a server to read it. Snipry reads it on your own machine and uploads nothing, ever, and it works with no internet at all. English is free here too; $9 once unlocks 40+ languages and smart table/code output.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The first run downloads the language model once and caches it in your browser. After that, switch your internet off and every snip still works.

Which languages can it read?

English is free. Pro adds 40+ languages, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Cyrillic scripts, and most of Europe. You download only the languages you turn on.

Is $9 really one time, or a hidden subscription?

One time. A single $9 payment, no renewal, no card kept on file. Your license is verified on your own machine, so there is no monthly server check to keep paying for.

$9 once, but what if you disappear?

Then Snipry keeps working. There is no server to shut down and no subscription to lapse. Your license is verified on your own machine, so a Pro key you have activated can't be revoked or bricked. You own it.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If Pro does not work for you, email [email protected] within 14 days and we refund you, no argument.

What do you collect about me?

From the extension: nothing. It has no analytics and phones home to no one. This website counts anonymous clicks with Plausible, a cookieless analytics tool, so we know a page was useful. Your snips, images, and text are never part of that.

Do I need an account?

No sign-up and no login. The free version needs nothing at all. For Pro you get a license key by email after checkout and paste it into the extension. That is the only email involved.

I got a new computer. Can I move my license?

Yes. The key is not locked to one machine. Install Snipry, paste the same key, and Pro is back. Lost the key? Email [email protected] and we resend it.
